The brainchild of Derek Jacobs, the Village of Empowerment (VOE) was founded in 2018 with a powerful vision: to Empower, Equip and help young people Excel within our community for success. VOE emerged from a deep commitment to creating opportunities for growth, development, and empowerment among youth.

VOE’s founder Derek Jacobs envisioned a community where every young person had the resources, support, and encouragement needed to reach their full potential. Recognizing the challenges faced by youth in our community, Derek Jacobs saw an opportunity to make a lasting impact by providing the tools, opportunities, and resources necessary for success.
